When walking into a class there’s always the anticipation of learning something new and cool. But there’s also the anxiety of “I hope this class is worth it considering all the work I’m going to fall behind on.” Right? So to make a training class more worth your while, there are a couple of things you can do to prepare:
First, learn a little bit about Aegis as a vendor. It will help answer questions like “Why on Earth would anyone want to use Discoverant?” and “What’s a Discoverant anyway?” To learn a bit about Aegis, what we do and why we do it, visit the Products > Discoverant section on the Aegis website. Explore the four areas on the right side of the screen (Data Analysis, Dashboarding & Reporting, Data Aggregation and Paper Records) to learn the what’s and why’s.
Second, understand the purpose of the class. Why? Because if you’re somewhat familiar with the content that you’ll be introduced to, you can then compare it to your current process or product (at a high level of course) and then note a few pain points that you hope can be solved by the cool new stuff you’re going to learn in your class.
In the Customers > Training > Instructor Led Training section of the Aegis website, there are descriptions of each course. Find your class, download the syllabus and then consider making a pain point list that you believe is relevant.
See you in class!
